The nose displays sweet cherry and vanilla with hints of spice and subtle floral notes of violets. This leads you into a palate dominated by more dark cherry and vanilla, juicy raspberry and just a touch of cloves, cinnamon and black pepper, all framed with a light toasty oak. Aged for 12 months in French oak. Serve at 14-16⁰ C and best consumed within 5 - 6 years of vintage
100% of the grapes used for making the 2010 Pinot are self-rooted, and come from our Scharf Road East vineyards which range from 5 to 16 years old. We currently have a total of 60 acres of vineyards in West Kelowna, within 10 kilometers of our winery.
It’s the quintessential food wine. Try it with grilled salmon, bbq’d chicken and lasagna, or, slice into a good cut of plain roast beef. Also delicious with savoury foods like mushroom flavoured dishes, braised lamb with roasted beets or goat cheeses.
