An intense, nuanced bouquet of rich exotic fruits, floral perfumes of white flowers, and subtle white pepper leads to a concentrated and balanced palate. There are both savoury elements and an acid presence that support the assertive stone fruit core, giving it an undeniable elegance rarely found in this grape outside of its ancestral seat of Condrieu in the Rhône Valley. Less than a quarter of this bottling saw just over 20 months in new French barrels.
A challenging year throughout the region but with determined viticultural practices, uncompromising fruit selection and de-classification standards, Stratus has once again successfully captured the nuances of our vineyard.
