The extreme cold of winter 2014 resulted in a much reduced crop size giving us a sparkling wine with intense and concentrated flavours. Viticultural practices included vertical shoot positioning, shoot thinning, leaf thinning and hand-harvesting.
This is the third vintage of Sparkling Riesling from the now certified Organic and Biodynamic Limestone Ridge Vineyard. Made in the traditional method, this wine displays a shy nose at first but is soon followed by ripe apples, citrus and minerality on the mouth.
This sparkling wine can be served as an aperitif paired with oysters or tempura battered shrimp or enjoyed with a dinner of lobster mac n’ cheese or fried chicken. Of course a wine as flavourful and enjoyable as this one is also perfect all on its own, just add friends.
