Planted on the sunny slopes of Kaleden just above Skaha Lake, Silvio Bicego nurtured these Chardonnay grapes for years. Originally hailing from Italy and long since retired, one can tell by just looking at his face and hands that he was no stranger to long hard days in the vineyard. Hand harvested, the grape varietal intensity of this Chardonnay is bursting to be noticed.
Apricot and peach are vividly displayed.
On the mouth you get the flavors of stone fruit, along with bright citrus, crisp acidity, a lovely texture and a long finish.
Pale gold, almost clear.
Pairs exceptionally well with shellfish, white rind cheeses, grilled white fish, and pasta with spring vegetables. Or simply enjoy chilled outside on a warm summer day.
