A riesling vintage if ever there was one. On the escarpment, overall cool, cloud and long. Some summer moisture with cool nights followed by a long dry fall resulted in moderate sugar, ripping acidity and low pH. Low alcohol wines with backbones of steel and finesse will age deeply into the next decade.

This vineyard's hallmarks are all on full display here with floral notes on the nose, a savoury tone that runs through the core and is all fleshed out by white stone fruit and citrus.
The wild yeasts that kicked off the ferment and ensuing hang-time on the lees over the winter before the spring bottling yielded complex fruit and length. With only 10% alcohol, the wine is delicate, refreshing and balanced. The modest sweetness is tempered by a savage acidity that cracks a whip. The finish is long, dry, fruit filled and makes you leap over the bar for more.
