As growing seasons go, 2012 was everything Niagara winemakers desired. The spring weather was ideal for bud break and cluster development. This was followed by summer days in the 80’s and cool nights in the 60’s; not too hot and not too cold. All of the grapes in the Kacaba vineyards flourished in this weather allowing the grapes to achieve maximum intensity.
Intense aromatics of black plum, dark chocolate and cigar box.
Fruit cake and coffee flavours fill out the mouth while solid tannins provide a rich and bold structure to the wine.
Enjoy this wine on its own or pair with game, red meats and char-grilled vegetables.
