About the winery

Sage Hills Vineyard was created in 2006 by the Thrussell family. We bought the 11-acre Dickinson Farm in Summerland and began to build our home and reshape the old peach, plum and apricot orchard into land suitable for growing grapes. In 2007, we planted Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer. These varietals were chosen for Summerland’s temperate microclimate and this land is particularly well suited to these three varieties. In 2013, we added the winery to our property to create our second vintages of premium small lot wines from 100% organically grown grapes.
