About the winery

We started a winery because the winemaker had the bug as a child helping his grandfather and father making wines. The winemaker is a chemical engineer with a master’s degree in environmental engineering, so the fit is perfect. Passion + Education. We went from “corporate suits to gumboots”. We always loved this island life and now can live here. We want to make this a heritage winery and pass this onto future generations. Because we are looking at multiple generations, you really need to have the farm and sustainability practices to meet this vision. See our sustainability section. Now one of our daughters in at Brock University studying Oenology and Viticulture with a Sciences major.
