About the winery

While the concept of a winery was what inspired Phil Nickel to plant grapes on his farm in 1998, the detailed plan for his dream developed slowly. As his precious plot of vines grew stronger, so did his passion for wine and protecting our planet. The ultimate creation of Hinterbrook was inspired by a conversation around the Nickel family table in 2009. It was from that conversation that Phil’s commitment to producing premium wines with the latest technology in an eco-conscious manner began to take shape.
