About the winery

Garry Oaks Winery was established in 1999 on one of the oldest farms on Salt Spring Island. A stand of Garry Oak trees (Quercus garryana) that was preserved on site gives the winery its name. At Garry Oaks we work our vineyard by hand and produce naturally small lots of original wines — classically inspired wines with a spirit of adventure.Garry Oaks Winery is located on Salt Spring Island, the largest of a string of islands located in the Strait of Georgia between the British Columbia mainland (the metropolitan Vancouver area) and Vancouver Island (the city of Victoria). We invite you to visit our terraced vineyard overlooking the beautiful Burgoyne Valley, walk our labyrinth, and taste our award-winning wines.
