About the winery

With the planting of vines in 1993, Dragonfly Hill was transformed into the first commercial vineyard in Saanich. Named for the many colorful dragonflies that thrive in the area, Dragonfly Hill has some of the oldest vines on Vancouver Island, including Ortega, Pinot Auxerrois, Schoenberger and Labelle. True to the traditional 'Garagiste Movement', we create limited-production wines using sustainable farming methods. At Dragonfly Hill Vineyard, we believe that cultivating exceptional wines is much more than an exacting science: It is a time-honored and evolutionary art.
