Vancouver and Gulf Islands
Much of the 40-acre property at Busnardo Vineyard is planted with vinifera varietals that have been traditional to Divino Estate Winery for more than 50 years. The Cobble Hill vineyard site was established in 1996, built from years of experience in the Okanagan Valley where Divino Estate Winery was established in "the Golden Mile" of Oliver. The original vineyard was planted with vinifera in the late 1960's and the winery relocated their entire operation to the Cowichan Valley. Owner, Joseph Busnardo started the 5th winery in the Okanagan where there are now 182 and he was the 5th winery on Vancouver Island where there are now 44. A trend-setter? His wines are made in the Italian tradition and the winery is rustic and real. "There are only two kinds of wines. The wines you like and the wines you don't like." JB
