Light straw in colour, check out the beautiful aromas honey suckle, blossom, ripe peach, apricots – more like flowers and ripe soft tree fruit. Light to medium bodied the palate displays a viscous quality, floral, honey, ripe peach, with notes of nectarine/tangerine and mineral. Look for a little spice on the moderate finish.
The latest addition to the Volcanic Hills wine line-up… this wine is very pretty and very tasty. Made from 100% Viognier grapes sourced from vineyards in Oliver and Osoyoos. Both sites were planted in 2010, with soils ranging from rocky and gravely, to sandy loam. Pronounced (Vee-own-yay)
Enjoy with spicy Asian food, roasted or grilled chicken, pork, veal, fish and shellfish. The natural sweetness in Viognier makes it a great wine to try with spicy foods.
