The palate is a full on attack of sweet ripe berry fruit, touches of watermelon, tangerine and pepper. The acidity is soft but bright enough to balance the depth of the fruit.
A "True Rosé' made from fruit grown specifically for this wine and produced by a technique known as Saignée, or bleeding the vats. The grapes were destemmed, crushed and allowed to cold soak (48 hours for the Syrah and 24 hours for the Grenache) prior to the free run juice being drawn off and cold settled. It was then cool fermented at in stainless steel tanks for 2 weeks. At the completion of fermentation, the wine was racked, blended, stabilized, filtered and then bottled in the early days of 2014.
The nose is a mix of wild strawberries and raspberries with flecks of orange zest.
