This Estate Grown Small Lot wine is a very small lot made from grapes from our biodynamic and organic vineyard. The grapes were fermented by indigenous yeast over a period of 3 weeks in stainless steel tank. After gentle pressing, settling and racking to French oak barrique, the wine aged for 18 months. Careful barrel selection, blending, and coarse fining before unfined bottling.
High-toned floral notes above aromas of black cherry, damson plum, red & black currant and cedar.
Medium plus body, with a moderate volume of fine but persistent tannins. More red than black fruit on palate, with some licorice and roasted herbs on the extended finish.
Medium garnet in glass.
Decant for enjoyment now with grilled and braised red meats, or cellar for 3 to 10 years.
