These high-quality grapes were grown in the Paulson Vineyard in Osoyoos. This vineyard enjoys South-Western exposure and extended evening sunlight. The nearby lake creates a micro-climate which helps to prevent frost from prevailing in the vineyard until later in the year.
Grapes were pruned fairly aggressively for the highest quality in the berries.
Aged 24 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels, all medium toast, about 30% new, the rest 1 and 2 years old.
A very “old world”-style Cabernet with ripe fruit, robust tannins, and great weight on the palate.
