This vintage was remembered as being slightly cooler than years prior, but because there were no dramatic heat spikes, and the growing season carrying longer than usual, the grapes were able to develop impeccable flavour concentration. A late harvest with no frost or meaningful rainful meant the fruit was left to hang late into October, developing rich flavour and concentration.
The wine was kept on skins for 14 days before being pressed off and transferred into French Oak barriques 30% new French oak. 20 months
