Our ethos is simple. Honest low intervention winemaking in the pursuit of balance, texture and vintage expression while respecting the land which makes all this possible. Rosewood is owned and operated by a family of beekeepers with over 85 years of farming experience, focused on producing premium vintage driven wines, innovative meads and artisanal local honey. Eugene Roman, Rosewood’s proprietor, is a second generation lifelong beekeeper who always dreamed of producing world class, age-worth, and innovative meads. This dream became a reality in 2000, when he purchased 40 acres on the now-famed Beamsville Bench. Today, Eugene and his son William (with experience in BC and Central Otago NZ) are proud to work with Ryan Corrigan in the continued pursuit of this dream. The vineyards and apiaries are managed using sustainable farming techniques. Utilizing modern technology with extensive hand-tending of vines and integrated pest management (IPM) systems to promote sustianable farm lands and health crops each season.
